Registration Forms:

Registration for NBSC takes place three times per year, in the fall, mid-winter, and late spring. Fall registration is normally held in September. The mid-winter registration period is normally held in January. The late spring registration is normally held in April or May.

Commonly Asked Question - What are the registration fees used for? The biggest expenses to the club include Facility Rental (Pools at West Allis Central, New Berlin Eisenhower and New Berlin West) and Coaches. The school districts are paid substantially to rent the pool and locker rooms for each practice. Our coaches are not volunteers. They are professional swim coaches, trained and experienced. They are paid staff. Other expenses include administrative staff, club activities and of course - meets. Though meets are a big source of income for the club, they start out as a big investment of expense. A meet only turns into income if everyone participates, we sell a lot of food, everyone volunteers on deck and we get a lot of other clubs signed up.

The Club Business Manager will establish an account for each family and track debits and credits during the year. An invoice will be issued at the end of each session to enable settlement of any amounts owed. Members can earn credits from fund raising to help defer the costs of Club and Entry fees. Members can also earn credits by simply purchasing SCRIP, to help defre the cost of club and entry fees. Following is an explanation of the various fees collected during registration:

1. Club Fee: NBSC is a non-profit organization. The funds collected through these fees are used to operate the club. The club fee is charged once per session per swimmer, amount dependent upon the swimmer's level. In families with three or more swimmers, regular club fees are charged for the first two swimmers, and 1/2 fees charged for the third and subsequent swimmers.

2. United States Swimming (USS) Registration Fee: All members of the New Berlin Swim Club must join United States Swimming, Inc. This association provides general liability and secondary accident medical insurance coverage. Membership also allows swimmers to compete in USS sanctioned meets. Each swimmer is given an unique identification number and will receive a quarterly copy of the USS newsletter. This fee is charged yearly. If registering in the fall session, the fee covers this fall and the next calendar year. All fees go to United States Swimming. There is a reduced fee for swimmers eight years old and younger.

3. Fund Raising and NBSC Meet Participation Deposit and Meet Food Depost: The club collects the fund raising requirement, NBSC Meet Participation Deposit, and the Meet Food Deposit each session. Your account is credited as you contribute toward the required amount.
