Meet Entry

The attending of USS-sanctioned swim meets is highly encouraged. New swimmers / parents should consult with their coach about which meets to attend and what events are recommended. Reservations have been made to all the meets offered on the NBSC Meet Schedule. There are a limited number of swims for each meet. Please make sure your entries are turned in on time. Late entries may not be accepted. Call Coach Pete if you cannot drop off entries at the pool by the due date to avoid missing the meet. Please don't wait until the last day. Procedure: 1. Look at the NBSC Meet Schedule for possible meets you wish to attend. 2. Consult your swimmer's coach if you have any questions. 3. When meet information is received through the mailbox system:

Coaches have the final say on all entries. They may add or subtract events. In addition to individual events your child may be placed in a relay. Coaches sign swimmers up for relay events. It is the parent’s responsibility to find out if their swimmer will be in a relay and stay at the meet until it is completed. If you have any concerns about events your swimmer has been signed up for, please contact the coach. Please be supportive of coaching when they feel your child is ready to swim in a new event. Often young swimmers will be apprehensive about trying new and longer events. But that is how they progress. They need to practice and compete in as wide a variety as possible. For any meets that you wish to attend outside of our published meet schedule, please consult your swimmer's coach first. You are responsible for all matters concerning these meets. Directions to away meets and motel information for overnight meets will usually be posted on the bulletin board and on this website.
